Underwriter, Technical Risk Property

Position Overview

Responsible for underwriting, managing, and expanding a portfolio of technical risk property accounts.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop new & maintain existing producer contacts through regular producer visits.
• Manage a book of Technical Risk accounts in line with Starr Tech’s underwriting standards.
• Conduct marketing and sales meetings within assigned territories in the West region.
• Ensure underwriting and service standards are met for assigned accounts.
• Identify and underwrite new business accounts in accordance with Starr Tech’s underwriting guidelines.

Job Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the Technical Risk/Large property insurance LOB.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong analytical skills, especially Excel.
