What you’ll be doing

The Treasury Management Sales Advisor is responsible for developing and retaining treasury management relationships across multiple commercial lines of business. This role partners closely with relationship managers in a consultative selling capacity, driving annual sales goals and activity targets while executing strategies to retain and deepen existing client relationships.

As an experienced team member, the Advisor will share expertise and market insights with peers and junior staff, and actively participate in Treasury Management initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate autonomy in client management, call planning, and pipeline oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain treasury management relationships for commercial clients.
  • Partner with relationship managers to deliver consultative sales solutions.
  • Achieve annual sales goals and meet sales activity targets.
  • Drive liquidity and deposit generation through targeted solutions and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Treasury Management products, including how clients utilize and integrate these solutions within their operational systems.

  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.
  • Participate in Treasury Management initiatives and projects.
  • Manage client portfolios, call plans, and sales pipeline independently.
  • Demonstrates strong independent problem-solving skills
  • Leverage Salesforce for tracking client interactions and pipeline management

How you’ll succeed

  • Business Development – Develop new client relationships through referrals from relationship managers and by leveraging existing client connections. Actively monitor and manage these relationships by fully understanding each client’s goals, objectives, and business status.
  • Treasury Management – Work with clients to design treasury management solutions that address collections, disbursements, fraud prevention, commercial card needs, and incorporate liquidity strategies. Provide direct coverage and manage a portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Collaborate –Success is driven by working closely with Implementation, Service, and Product teams to deliver the best possible client experience.

Who you are

  • You have demonstrated experience. You have experience in Commercial Banking Cash Management working with clients with complex cash management needs, proven business development skills, and highly developed negotiating skills.
  • You put our clients first. You have well-developed client and relationship management skills. You engage with the purpose of finding the right solutions.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or related field
  • You're driven to succeed. You are motivated by accomplishing your goals and delivering your best to make an impact.
  • You have business and financial concepts to effectively articulate the cash management value proposition, as it relates to the impact on financial statements
  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values – trust, teamwork, and accountability.

Requirements;  Minimum 8+ years of experience in Treasury Management Sales.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
