Job Title: Transport Team Manager
Location: Stoke, ST7 1UH
Shift Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £34,000
This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally.
Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day operation of MWI Animal Health deliveries through the depots.
Gives clear guidance to the team leaders and ensures work load is shared evenly and can be completed within contracted hours.
Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures.
Ensure depot meets and adheres to MHRA regulations.
Ensure depot meets and adheres to GDP regulations.
Manages depot GDPR requirements.
Ensures all vehicle checks and maintenance requirements are met.
Ensures all O Licence requirements are met and rigorously enforced.
Manages drivers’ hours and WTD requirements in line with EU Driver’s Hours and H&S law.
Manages depot security in line with company policy.
Maintains strong links with Transport Office.
Ensures all paperwork and reports required are completed fully and in a timely manner.
Provides accurate operational information to the Transport Office.
Manages depot hours and costs to optimise business profits.
Manages the team in accordance with company HR policies including investigations, disciplinary and grievances where required
Motivates the team to operate to the highest standards.
Manage the day to day planning of the operational resources in line with customer and cost requirements.
Report on all cost variances.
Completes monthly depot audits.
Manage and deliver on time all NCR My Compliance requirements.
Develops the team in line with succession requirements Manage own hours to meet contractual requirements and cost control
Share workload to ensure role can be completed within contracted hours

Ensures all manpower is planned effectively and efficiently to ensure cost objectives are met.
Manages all site holidays.
Manages all site driver hours and time sheets.
Manages sickness and reports all details to Transport Office. Carries out required RTW’s and Absence Management Procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
Deals with all man management issues in line with company policy.
Carries out all required investigations and first level disciplinaries.
Understands and follows all O Licence requirements relating to the operation.
Carries out annual associate PDR’s
Manages all on site Improvement Plans as required.
Ensures all legal compliance requirements for vehicles are met. Forms a strong link with local maintenance provider to minimise hire requirements. VOR’s vehicles where necessary. – Uses secondary suppliers to audit standards.
Manages depot costs through focus on areas within their sphere of influence.
Reports all accident’s in line with company policy. Encourages and develops a H&S focused work force.
Ensures compliance to strong and robust procedures regarding customer and van keys in line with MHRA and GDP requirements.
Manages on site security and ensures depot is always secure.
Ensures all MHE checks are carried out and any faults reported for rectification.
Ensures all controls regarding visitors, fire requirements, first aid and training are met in accordance with company policy.
Ensures correct levels of trained personnel are on site regarding fire and first aid. Raises all training needs with Transport Office and see’s through to completion.
Effectively manages all vehicle RTI’s and damages. Focuses on driver training and pride in vehicles. Utilises the Driver Trainer effectively to deliver the highest standards.
Manages all on site compliance requirements for MHRA, GDP and GDPR.
Support delivery of all business projects and initiatives. Support the Transport Manager in maintain a fully compliant operation.

Requirements:
Organised and structured in their work
Good time management skills
Good attention to detail for collected and recording information.
Knowledge of EU driver’s hours and of O-License maintenance compliance.
Efficient with MS packages
Excellent people skills with the ability to lead, coach and mentor team members
