As a Tool and Die Technician for injection molded parts, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing operations by ensuring high-performance tooling and precision fixtures are built, maintained, and optimized for quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
Build and assemble precision fixtures and components to support production operations.
Diagnose and repair injection mold tooling, including cavities, cores, runners, gates, and cooling systems.
Provide direct support to manufacturing teams, ensuring tooling is running efficiently and producing high-quality parts.
Partner with design and engineering teams to develop and refine fixtures and tooling; contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Manage tooling projects to meet budget and timeline expectations.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver results on schedule
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology preferred.
1+ years of experience in tooling, die fabrication, or mold maintenance, including support for injection molding machines with clamp capacities of 500 tons or greater.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for basic documentation and communication.
Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced, high-urgency manufacturing environment
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are typical for a manufacturing setting. The job involves lifting materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds. Operating equipment requires specialized training and testing in accordance with Polaris’ standards. Must be able to manage multiple demands at once.
The hourly rate for Alabama is $29 with possibility of overtime as required to meet production demands.
