The Digital Modernization Sector brings together our digital transformation and IT programs, allowing us to better serve our customers through scale and repeatability.
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented TEMPEST Certification Manager and Inspector to lead and manage all aspects of TEMPEST certification across our organization. This role ensures our products, systems, and facilities meet stringent TEMPEST standards, reinforcing the security and integrity of our operations for customers and stakeholders.
Develop and implement TEMPEST certification procedures and protocols in alignment with applicable standards and regulations.
Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and security teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
Conduct thorough TEMPEST inspections and assessments of equipment, facilities, and processes to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Serve as the primary liaison with TEMPEST certification authorities, facilitating communication and documentation throughout the certification process.
Monitor updates to TEMPEST standards and regulations, providing strategic guidance to maintain ongoing compliance.
Collaborate with external vendors and partners to support certification efforts.
Maintain detailed records of certification activities, findings, and outcomes.
Provide training and mentorship to staff on TEMPEST principles, security protocols, and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in TEMPEST certification and security management.
In-depth knowledge of TEMPEST standards and regulations, including NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and related documentation.
Strong ability to interpret and apply technical instructions from written, oral, or diagram formats.
Proven capability to manage multiple programs simultaneously without compromising quality or responsiveness.
Effective public speaking and presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
Completion of government-sponsored CTP or CTTA training.
Familiarity with TEMPEST standards such as TEMPEST/1-92, 2-95, 01-02, and 1-13.
Strong understanding of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles.
Experience conducting TEMPEST inspections and assessments in complex environments.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, operating manuals, and procedural documentation.
Certifications such as Certified TEMPEST Professional (CTP) or Certified TEMPEST Specialist (CTS) are highly desirable.
