What You’ll Do

  • Empower Customers: Lead hands-on training and support for clients in planning, designing, testing, installing, and maintaining electrical power systems—both onsite and at SEL facilities.
  • Engineer with Excellence: Apply your expertise in SEL protection and automation systems to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
  • Drive Innovation: Conduct system tests, troubleshoot issues, and identify trends to continuously improve performance and reliability.
  • Be the Bridge: Communicate clearly and consistently with engineering teams, leadership, and customers to ensure smooth commissioning and project success.
  • Champion Safety: Promote and maintain a safe, environmentally responsible workplace.

What You Bring

  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in power system design, testing, commissioning, or maintenance
  • Proficiency with tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, AcSELerator Quickset, and test equipment such as OMICRON or Doble
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%—explore new places while doing meaningful work
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • A collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings

Bonus Skills

  • Experience writing automated test plans for protective devices
  • Familiarity with industry protocols like IEC-61850, DNP, and Modbus

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various climates
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of working at heights using lifts and ladders

Compensation

Hourly pay range: $40.00–$50.00, based on location, experience, and skills. We offer competitive compensation tailored to your expertise and the impact you’ll make.
