Travel: Frequent travel across the Netherlands; occasional travel in Benelux
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of Baxter/Hillrom’s electromechanical medical devices across the Netherlands. Your time will be split between Pharmacy Automation (50%) and Frontline Care in hospital environments (50%), with a strong focus on line support, testing, and process monitoring rather than repair or deep maintenance tasks.
🔧 Service & Support
Install, maintain, and repair Baxter/Hillrom medical devices according to service documentation and quality standards.
Perform in-process testing and ensure continuous device performance.
Monitor systems and intervene in case of deviations.
Maintain calibration tools and document all service activities accurately.
📞 Customer Interaction
Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Provide technical phone support and user training when needed.
Support product demos and ensure high customer satisfaction.
📈 Continuous Improvement & Sales Support
Identify opportunities for service or product improvements.
Collaborate with sales teams to support business growth.
Review KPIs and adapt practices to meet service level targets.
✅ Compliance & Quality
Ensure full compliance with service protocols, safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain technical competence through ongoing training.
🎓 Education:
Technical degree in electromechanics, biomedical engineering, IT, or equivalent experience.
📆 Experience:
Minimum 2 years as a service engineer, ideally in the medical device sector.
📍 Location:
Ideally based in or north of Utrecht for optimal territory coverage.
🚗 Company Car:
A company car is provided and may be used for private purposes. Please note that, in accordance with local law, personal use may incur additional charges (e.g. fuel costs during weekends). This is a common practice in the Netherlands and candidates are generally familiar with the implications.
