Major Duties
Responsible for the completion of the daily operational Settlements tasks associated with the processing of Residual and Unit Trust transactions
Manual agreement and matching of trades with counterparties, any resultant issues to be investigated and communicated to relevant partner
Completion of the relevant documentation to facilitate the Settlement of Unit Trust and Residual transactions, Monitoring of outstanding transactions and providing status updates until completion
Working with both internal and external partners to ensure satisfactory and timely resolution of client queries, client communication and Daily Data Quality
Supports Team Leader in ensuring operational efficiency, focuses on the day-to-day operation of the department
Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
Able to serve as a key subject matter expert and mentor to other more junior level employees
May manage daily operational activities and supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role)
More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
Delivers a work product that requires less revision
Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
Knowledge:
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Knowledge of the Asset Servicing environment is required
Analytical and problem solving skills are required
Risk awareness and risk management skills with the ability to proactively address issues and escalate as appropriate.
Experience:
A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is required.
