As a Team Lead you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations and development of the Investor Services team. You'll lead by example, coaching and empowering your team to deliver high quality shareholder services while maintaining client service-level agreements. This role requires a focus on operational excellence, risk management, and fostering a high-performance culture.
This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON
Key Accountabilities:
Drive team to meet or exceed client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by setting clear metrics, interpreting system data, and optimizing resources to manage workflow and ensure service quality.
Serve as the immediate point of contact for complex escalations, providing assistance and operational support to the team to maintain workflow continuity.
Coach and develop team members through quality assessments, targeted training, and bi-weekly one-on-ones to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
Oversee team training initiatives, including coordination of new staff onboarding ,scheduling refresher sessions and cross-training based on identified skill gaps.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to effectively resolve escalated issues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Lead process improvement and risk mitigation efforts, including updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and providing input during system testing.
Serve as the primary operational backup for the supervisor.
Assist Management with other duties, as required.
Must Haves
Minimum 3 years experience in an operational environment, with a focus on leading initiatives.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven people management or team leadership experience.
Significant experience in the full data lifecycle: from data interpretation and analysis to storytelling and developing strategic follow-up actions.
Experience supporting and tracking employee goals throughout the full performance cycle (mid-year check-ins and year-end reviews)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google suite of products.
A willingness and ability to adapt to a changing environment and responsibilities.
Nice to Have
Experience in the financial, corporate/commercial, or securities industry.
Bilingual (French & English).
