The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization in Richmond, Virginia, is hiring for several TCK Summer Assistant openings for Summer 2026. 


Location: Rockville, VA
Rate: $13.00
Dates: Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 - Saturday, Aug. 8th, 2026

Accommodations: Travel, room, and a food stipend will be provided

The TCK Summer Assistant will assist the with various classroom activities throughout various ages as assigned. Other tasks include assisting teachers and staff in preparation for various programs from Orientation, Stateside, and MK ReEntry Retreat. As a leader for MK ReEntry, will be responsible in leading small groups, engaging students, assisting in workshops, and supervising participants in their dorms. Assist with various classroom activities based on skills and previous experience which may include: 


I. During 2-week long STAS conferences may:

·       Lead small group discussions.

·       Share your testimony and how God is currently working in your life.

·       Lead Bible studies.

·       Lead group sports activities.

·       Lead music and art activities.

·       Various other activities that help students as they grow in their walk with the Lord.

II. Between STAS conferences may:

·       Assist classroom teachers during prep weeks (without children) with preparation and maintenance of classrooms.

·        Assist with the organization of and preparation for MK ReEntry Retreat.

III. During MK ReEntry Retreat may:

·       Small group leader.

·       Engage students in meaningful conversations throughout the week

·       Assist in leading workshop related to today’s culture and helping re-enter into America.

·       Provide supervision of participants in their dorms.

 

Requirements:

·       Must be at least 18 years old.

·       High school diploma or GED.

·       IMB MK/TCK. 

·       Must have transitioned to the U.S. at least 8 months prior to employment.

·       Must be able to live onsite at the training center

·       Love for walking alongside younger TCKs and pointing them to Christ during vulnerable preteen and teenage years

·       Must be flexible to work with various age groups as needed.

·       Strong work ethic, self-starter, and willing to help wherever needed.

·       Previous successful experience leading small groups, preferred.

·       Attended their own MK ReEntry retreat, preferred
