Overview of Role
As Tax Manager, the successful candidate will be part of our Group Tax team working directly for our Swiss Head of Tax. This position is designed as an experienced role within our local Swiss and global Group Tax function, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to begin in a deputy capacity while gaining exposure to international tax matters. Over time, the role is intended to evolve, with increasing responsibilities and the potential to take full ownership of key initiatives within the team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting all corporate tax processes of the Swiss business units (direct and indirect tax) including the filing of tax declarations to the Swiss tax authorities (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, stamp tax) and preparation of tax provisions
- Overseeing the corporate tax processes of our foreign subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, Israel and the United Arab Emirates
- Performing transfer pricing related tasks
- Advising business on tax related matters and providing tax support in projects
- Supporting the tax operations team regarding tax transparency and client tax matters (CRS, FATCA, QI)
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law or related field
- Further tax qualification (certified tax expert, LLM, or equivalent) is a plus. We support the successful candidate in obtaining a tax degree
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar in-house or external tax advisory role
- Banking and financial services industry know-how is a plus
- VAT and Tax Accounting know-how is a plus
- SAP and Avaloq know-how is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a strong service and client orientation
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in German or French and in English
