SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist, based at our Corporate Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI, will play a key role in driving our talent acquisition efforts across warehouse, production, and office positions. This role also provides the opportunity to contribute to broader HR initiatives, including onboarding and orientation, event planning, and general HR administration. The Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist will collaborate closely with all levels of the HR team in a fast-paced, fun, and growing environment where ideas and teamwork are valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for Warehouse/Production and entry-level Office roles, including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting initial phone screens, and scheduling onsite interviews and tours.
- Facilitate structured onsite interviews, tours, and debriefs to support a consistent and fair selection process.
- Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS – Greenhouse) for assigned roles, ensuring accurate candidate and requisition data.
- Partner with HR and Operations leadership to align recruiting efforts with workforce needs and hiring priorities.
- Track and report weekly recruitment metrics, consulting with HR leadership on applicant flow and process improvements.
- Support employment branding and candidate pipeline development through marketing initiatives and talent outreach efforts.
- Assist in onboarding coordination, including scheduling drug screens/background checks and preparing first-day logistics.
- Participate in New Hire Orientation and first-day introductions to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
HR Operations
- Support new hire onboarding and documentation, including I-9 audits, key fob setup, and HexGear replacement orders.
- Assist with planning and coordination of employee events (e.g., Christmas Party, Parking Lot Party).
- Coordinate employee recognition and support gestures such as ordering meals and gifts.
- Maintain HR communications, including the HR Newsletter (monthly updates featuring events, anniversaries, birthdays, employee spotlights, HR updates, and open positions).
- Provide administrative HR support as needed, including data entry, reporting, timekeeping, scheduling, and other projects to support HR and Operations initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree - emphasis on Human Resources, Communications, or Social Sciences preferred, but not required
- 1–3 years of professional experience in staffing, corporate recruiting, or human resources
- Illustrates professional behavior in a business environment
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Stellar interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and comfort with public speaking
- Highly motivated and proactive team player who is eager to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Sheets, HRIS or ATS is a plus
- Ability to work onsite 40+ hours/week
