As a Systems Technical Lead, you'll be a subject matter expert in the technical operations of Cordant Solutions™. This role supports project engineering and services through technical reviews, including system engineering design, network design, system integration, OT cybersecurity, explosive atmosphere design, functional safety design, and commissioning quality for machinery protection and condition monitoring hardware and software in OT environments. In addition, the role ensures compliance with regulatory and standards requirements for solutions engineered and serviced for specific customers and countries.
As a Systems Technical Lead, you will be responsible for:
• Evaluating and reviewing project designs, including system architecture drawings, BoMs, and configurations, to ensure alignment with product capabilities, standards, and customer requirements.
• Reviewing pre-commissioned CMS software configurations performed by the field services team.
• Supporting field service engineers with site-related issues not directly attributable to products. Mentor project engineers and service engineers.
• Supporting the NPI team with Alpha and Beta testing of both hardware and software.
• Assisting the pre-sales team with non-standard technical requests, such as explosive atmosphere installations, OT cybersecurity, third-party system integration, technical regulations and standards, maritime applications, etc.
• Driving continuous improvement in design, processes, and support initiatives such as variable cost reduction. Conduct training on products for internal functions as needed.

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical, electronics, or instrumentation engineering.
• Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Bently Nevada or similar OEM environments, including hands-on project engineering, field commissioning, industrial networking, system integration, and OT cybersecurity.
• Have CompEx, IECEx certification for hazardous area applications or related credentials.
• Have Strong knowledge of Bently Nevada products. Have In-depth understanding of API 670 standard.
• Have Solid foundation in computer networking and OT cybersecurity principles. Have Experience with explosive atmosphere installation standards such as IEC 60079-14 and functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 and IEC 61511
• Have Working knowledge of IEC general safety standards: 61010, 61439, 62406, and 61000-6-X. Have Good understanding of technical regulations and standards processes.
• Have Strong knowledge of OT protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC) and APIs. Have Proficiency in network segmentation, firewall configuration, and secure remote access.
• Have Hands-on experience with OT/ICS-specific security tools and backup systems. Have Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST CSF, NERC CIP).
