System Administrator

Langley AFB, VA Full time
System Administrator

The Opportunity:

Are you excited to keep cutting-edge data science moving fast without sacrificing security or reliability? You know that mission systems aren’t just code and clusters—they’re hardened platforms, dependable pipelines, and friction-free workflows for the teams who use them. As our Systems Administrator, you’ll sit at the intersection of traditional systems engineering, DevSecOps, and data science enablement, owning the day-to-day stability of our “Enterprise Lite” (CI) development environments while preparing those same systems to integrate cleanly into our “Enterprise” (CI/CD) production pipeline.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and product managers to understand the team's vision and their technical needs. You will be a key player in our 'Dual-Track Vision,' taking primary responsibility for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our 'Enterprise Lite' (CI) development environment. You will be the team's expert on infrastructure, managing servers and security, while also supporting our automated pipelines and understanding the data science workflow. Your experience will help you advocate for the prioritizations of infrastructure changes and security enhancements, ensuring our 'Enterprise Lite' track is always ready to integrate with the formal 'Enterprise' (CI/CD) production pipeline.

Are you ready to help our clients transform the way they execute their mission by building a secure and agile foundation for modern data-driven applications in support of keeping the warfighter safe?

Join us. The world can’t wait.

  • 5+ years of experience in Network Operations and Systems Administration, including network infrastructure deployment, security hardening, and operational data management
  • Experience in cyber threat assessment, vulnerability analysis, IAM, and security controls implementation, and in a major scripting language for automating deployment, scaling, and operational tasks
  • Experience managing large-scale data infrastructure, including 100GB+ daily operational data, network-based data collection frameworks, and real-time data ingestion systems
  • Experience using tools like Wireshark, Zeek, Snort, and SILK, and with leading development operations and maintaining application deployment pipelines for operational systems
  • Experience in developing and deploying ML/AI solutions in production environments, including model development, deployment, and lifecycle management
  • Experience working in classified environments supporting DoD and Intelligence Community operations
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, network traffic analysis, and secure communication protocols
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
