Now, we’re looking for a passionate sustainability specialist to help us advance our global sustainability agenda and strengthen our impact.

 

What you’ll do

As a sustainability specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of CANPACK’s global sustainability strategy. You’ll help turn data into insights, strengthen our reporting processes, and support our ambition to continually improve our environmental performance.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and validating ESG data from CANPACK sites globally and supporting the preparation of key sustainability deliverables, including ESG reports, carbon footprint analyses, and benchmarking tools

  • Coordinating responses to ESG-related questions from internal and external stakeholders

  • Assisting with internal and external sustainability audits and reviews

  • Monitoring sustainability trends, legislation, and industry initiatives to keep CANPACK ahead of evolving requirements

  • Working with communications and marketing teams to promote CANPACK’s sustainability achievements

  • Engaging with external teams, including trade associations, to advance our sustainability goals

 

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines analytical ability with curiosity, collaboration, and a genuine passion for sustainability.

 

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Hands-on experience in life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint calculation, and decarbonisation strategies

  • Experience with ESG data tools or systems (such as Sphera or equivalent), valuable for managing data across multiple sites

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, as you’ll be gathering information from different departments and plants

 

Desirable skills and attributes:

  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EcoVadis, CDP, or UNGC

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, international environment

  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for addressing global environmental and social challenges

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
