About the role
The Supply Planning & Operations Manager leads and manages Supply Planners in their category responsible for developing a Supply Plan at SKU/Customer/RDC levels in currency/units for current year through current year +2 which is the basis for Operating Plans, Financial Projections and Promotional Trade Spend Funding. You will manage deliverables for the area Integrated Business Planning process including facilitation of the monthly Supply Review Meetings, drive meeting effectiveness/improvement plans, cascade decisions made to the Supply Planners and participate in a reconciliation process identifying and preparing of content to be escalated to the S&OP meeting.
Role responsibilities
Collaborate with cross functional leadership partners (i.e. Demand Planning, Customer Supply Chain, Manufacturing Sites, Finance, Marketing, Sales/CPFR, and Global Analytics) to identify shifts in the supply against short- and long-term horizons identifying risks, opportunities and effective supply chain solutions to drive delivery of organizational goals.
Lead the team to meet OTIF targets with the optimal levels of Inventory.
Serve as a key leader on the category supply & operations planning team which includes onboarding new team members onto the team, managing co-ops teams (if applicable), serving as a functional/process expert and help other team members work through challenges and coaching/mentoring planners on critical KPI errors (supply planning dashboard / inventory management) – Community of practice.
Primary point of contact for all categories on the team.
Lead appropriate planning forums (SCIM, SRM, Commercial Connections, etc.).
Participate in Planning LT sessions (if required).
Participate in quarterly Extended Planning LT meetings including strategic visioning, culture development and planner talent discussions.
Overall site coordinator for large internal and/or CMO manufacturing site. (consolidation of multiple planning requirements / management of the Site SRM process / coordination of international SKU prioritization).
Business process owner for key supply chain processes, supply operations; ensuring consistency across the categories.
Key contact point with cross-functional partners on process enhancements (allocations / customer communications / etc).
Management of overall allocation process.
In addition to the above, serve as a “player/coach”, with ownership of key supply planning process for an internal manufacturing site
Responsible for delivery of the OTIF and inventory levels for the associated SKU’s and/or brands.
Responsible for 0-13 weeks mid-term planning (in conjunction with manufacturing).
Responsible for long-term capacity management (0-24 months).
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum 7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or analytical discipline with an emphasis on supply and demand alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, technical and non-technical information to all organization levels.
APICS/IBF Certification.
Demonstrate expertise in supply planning and inventory management and the ability to speak to senior management across the organization on the different factors and drivers (building blocks, assumptions) that are built into our service and inventory projections, as well as the outstanding Risks and Opportunities to the forecast.
Proficiency in identifying, analyzing and resolving complex problems using available information and appropriate team resources in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex, technical supply chain and logistics problems using personal knowledge, (ERP/APO) systems and experience.
Ability to drive continuous improvement across the Supply Chain.
Networking & influencing skills at all levels, both internally & externally.
Proven capability in building strong relationships with key stakeholder and multiple interfaces.
Excellent leadership capability and a strong team player.
Customer driven and Quality Mindset.
Work style that produces trust, open communication, commitment, and that conveys respect and regard for people.
Location: Hybrid-based in Warren, NJ with 3 in-office days required.
