Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Supply Chain Business First Line Manager to join BCA Supply Chain – Functional Excellence Operations team in Kent, WA. This position is required to be 100% onsite. This position will require you to sit at the Kent, WA location with travel to the Everett, WA site on a weekly basis.  

This team serves as the first line of support for internal and external customers, ensuring requests, system questions, and enhancement needs are handled efficiently and accurately.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our business systems operations team within BCA Supply Chain. This role will specifically be responsible for leading a team focused on sustainment and transformation within the aggregation programs systems.

In this role, you will manage daily team operations, coordinate priorities across internal stakeholders and an external software development vendor, and ensure commitments are delivered on time and within budget. You don’t need to be a technical expert — success in this position depends on your ability to organize work, empower your team, and drive operational results through people and process excellence.

Our team is currently hiring for a Level K Supply Chain Business First Line Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
  • Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and small business subcontracting.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience of direct and/or indirect team leadership experience do you have that you successfully delivered results
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple competing priorities
  • 5+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications & Products)
  • 5+ years of experience as proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships/partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience working both independently and in team environments
  • 5+ years of experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment in support of multiple organizations
  • 5+ years of experience with the development and maintenance of the project schedule and budget
  • 5+ years of experience with program management, project management and/or business operations
  • Requires 100% onsite (5 days a week)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years of experience with interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in customer support, operations, or business systems environments
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience
  • 5+ years of experience building stakeholder and customer relationships
  • 5+ years of experience with data and analytics
  • Familiarity with help desk and ticket management systems
  • Understanding project management principles or change management practices
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, ITIL, or PMP methodologies
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with both technical and business teams

Summary pay range (Level K): Kent, WA: $129,600 - $150,500
