Job Summary: The incumbent in this position will serve as the Program Coordinator for the Women Veterans program at VA Dublin Georgia. This position is a full-time at 40 hours per week Monday through Friday.

Providing oversight of the women veterans program and working closely with the Women Veterans Medical Director to form the foundation of the Women's health team at the facility level. Serving as chair of the women veterans health committee at the facility level. Proving expertise and guidance specific to women veterans for facility wide strategic goals and objectives and executing comprehensive planning women's health that improves the overall quality of care provided to women veterans and achieves program goals and outcomes. Serving as an advocate for women by working closely with Veteran Experience office ( Patient Advocate's) to facilitate problem resolution and women veterans satisfactions. Collaborating with facility leadership on culture transformation to create a safe and secure respectful environment for women veterans to receive care. Collaborating with Fiscal and Facility Leadership to advocate for resources to support programs to meet the needs of women veterans. Partnering with special populations coordinators to ensure the needs of women veterans are addressed across the health care system. Collaborating with facility Leadership and internal and external partners to ensure that timely access to necessary care in the community is provided. Clinical Care - 20% of the Time The Women Veteran Program Manager must be licensed at the advance level to complete assessments. Will assess for health, relationships and safety (RHS) routinely, Provide appropriate intervention including but not limited to safety and planning. Experience in making rapid assessments and developing crisis management plans, for various types of crisis including housing, financial emergency services psychiatric relapse, potential suicide violence, and other related high risks behavior situations. Refers to as many mental health programs as needed. Throughout the course of treatment the incumbent is the specialist on VA and Community Resources. Consults with medical center staff on a variety of patient care issues, Responsible for identification of patient problems requiring consultation with other multiple disciplinary staff. Ability to respond to patient concerns and address them adequately, Complete all clinical charting in timely manner accurately. Identify and assist refer veteran women in VA healthcare system. Adheres to HIPPA Laws privacy regulations and VHA directives related to the release of information. Other duties may be assigned. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm Relocation Incentive: Authorized if applicable Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade). Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66. Qualifications: Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency. Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f). Education. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going tohttp://www.cswe.org/Accreditation to verify that the social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a masters of social work. Licensure. Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. Current state requirements may be found by going tohttp://vaww.va.gov/OHRM/T38Hybrid/. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). NOTE: If social workers covered under the grandfathering provision of the 1991 Federal law regarding licensure or certification of VHA social workers leave the GS- 0185 social work series, they lose the grandfathering protection. If they choose to return at a later date to the GS-0185 series, they must be licensed or certified to qualify for employment as a social worker. Grade Determinations: Social Worker (Program Coordinator), GS-13 Experience/Education. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Candidates may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course o f study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs. Skill in coordinating and implementing one or more specialty program(s), across the facility. Skill in local policy and practice development, procedures, and/or practice guidelines for the program as prescribed by the program handbook or national directive. Skill in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating assigned program area(s). Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to further program goals and enhance patient centered care. Ability to provide the full range of supervisory duties including assignment of work to be performed; performance evaluations; and selection of staff, training, and recommendation of awards, advancements, and when appropriate, disciplinary action. Ability to oversee the fiscal matters of the functions supervised (including fund controls, contracts, and equipment expenditures), forecast resource and equipment needs, and administer the allocated budget.
