Job Summary: This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for advising, planning, managing, coordination and administration of information management/information technology (IM/IT) activities, programs, and projects.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Leading and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex and innovative technical solutions and systems architectures; Developing and implementing strategic technical plans/roadmaps aligned with organizational strategic goals; Providing expert technical architectural guidance and consultation to diverse teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective; Conducting research and evaluation of emerging technologies and their potential application to enhance existing systems or drive innovation initiatives; Analyzing existing system architectures, identifying areas for optimization, and developing strategies for continuous improvement and cost reduction; Supervising and mentoring a team of solution architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment; Managing IT Engineering projects, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
