$23.65 - $35.50Major Responsibilities:
First line responsibility for the overall supervision of S/D operations and staff which includes review of production and performance standards, staff & service scheduling, recommendation of hiring/terminating, in-service/training, performance evaluations, etc.
Establishes a daily work schedule that provides a work environment that is fair and equitable to all staff and creates highly productive outcomes while maintaining safety considerations free of barriers that would inhibit workflow.
Responsible for the data entered into the hand-held for par stations and the appropriate download into the Materials Management Computer System for printing then frequently inspects or reviews such data for accuracy, generates/distributes reports as necessary and makes recommendations to management for actions.
Responsible for the accuracy of the picking processes via the warehousemen then ensures the restocking into par stations is complete.
Performs activities and/or supervises the processes of decontamination and disinfection of patient care equipment and reusable patient supplies in which all regulator agency expectations are met or exceeded.
Acts responsibility towards the Warehousemen and holds accountable such staff for pick of product in stocking unit-of-measure, appropriate documentation, and distribution.
Conducts frequent inspections of the warehouse and par level closets to ensure all areas are kept clean, product off the floor, empty boxes in cart or container, pallets stacked neatly, product on shelf by issue UOM, and staff appropriately dressed.
Reviews the departmental training program and ensures all employees are appropriately trained to fulfill the daily expectations of their role and that all training is documented within the employee file. Also, acts to cross-train all staff as appropriate to ensure coverage as the result of absenteeism. Willingly accepts or aggressively seeks assignment outside the daily operational expectation.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Lift Truck (forklift) Safety Course Preferred and/or required to successfully complete within initial six month probationary period.
Education Required:
High School diploma or GED. Ability to pass a written exam for basic communicating, writing, arithmetic and general problem solving skills.
Experience Required:
A minimum of two (2) years of warehouse/distribution background, but a college degree will be considered in lieu of working experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Must be willing and able to assume daily outcome accountability for the departmental operations. Must be able to set finite goals/objectives personally and departmentally then document achievement. Must exercise superior judgment and have the ability to communicate to a diverse workforce. Must possess excellent customer service skills, analytical performance, demonstrate verbal/written communication ability, memory/logic capability, time management discipline, self-motivation desires and computer proficiency.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to use visual acuity to see monitor screen, computer and hard copy materials. Must be able to hear and verbally communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 2 hours). Must be able to comprehend and learn operation of various office equipment. Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 50-60# specific to job evaluation. Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and apply proper body mechanics during the transfers and transport supplies and/or equipment using proper body mechanics. Must be able to lift up to 10# specific to job evaluation.
