Here’s what you will do:

  • Develop and implement project lifecycle governance frameworks, including stage-gating, approvals, and documentation standards.

  • Coordinate portfolio-level planning, prioritization, and reporting across gas measurement projects in collaboration with Business Development and other stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain standardized project management processes, tools, and templates.

  • Lead training and development programs for project personnel, including onboarding, methodology, and system usage.

  • Manage project management IT systems (e.g., scheduling, cost tracking, document control) and ensure integration with enterprise platforms.

  • Support Supervisors of Project Development, Project Managers, and Construction resources with reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Facilitate portfolio and project reviews, performance tracking, and lessons learned sessions.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Operations, TIS and Business Development to align project governance with business needs.

  • Oversee project quality assurance practices and ensure consistent application across all phases.

  • Ensure proper records turnover to Operations, including as-built documentation, test reports, and regulatory filings.

  • Manage project closeout processes, including final cost reconciliation, performance evaluation, and archiving of project documentation.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in project management best practices and tools.

Who you are:

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project governance, portfolio management, or project services in the energy sector.

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (e.g., waterfall, stage-gate, agile).

  • Experience implementing project management systems and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SharePoint, Power BI).

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process standardization.

Preferred assets:

  • Master’s degree in related field.

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification.

  • Experience in gas measurement, pipeline, or midstream operations.

  • Familiarity with capital project governance and portfolio analytics.

  • Experience working with commercial or business development teams.

  • Change management and training program development experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based, with occasional travel to central offices (up to 25-% in any given month).

  • Position requires patience, resilience, credibility, and perseverance to achieve results and inspire and motivate superiors, peers and reports across functional, geographic, jurisdictional, and cultural boundaries.

  • Numerous, often competing interests must be managed concurrently whilst negotiating/influencing within and outside the organization.

  • May require a mix of workshop facilitation, leadership to Connecting Party audits, and governance/system implementation.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
