  • Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of material handling personnel engaged in shipping and receiving. 
  • Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution are performed in an efficient manner. 
  • Monitors and evaluates racking, forklifts, shock switch software and reporting, radio usage, and all other warehouse equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. 
  • Coordinates warehouse personnel scheduling to include hours and responsibilities and master sanitation functions. 
  • Oversees the daily activities of all loading dock areas and case picking and staging operations. 
  • Assists with Transportation Management and carrier quality assessment. 
  • Maintain Shipping records.                                                                          
  • Monitors forklift activities and maintenance, hold and return procedures, inventory control, storage maintenance, and warehouse sanitation and appearance.                                                                                                       
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. 
  • Resolves employee issues and concerns or engages the Distribution Manager and/or Human Resources to assist in unsettled issues.                                                         
  • Confers with management personnel to establish warehouse and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain data regarding storage and freight costs.
  • Recommends, develops, and implements measures to improve productivity, increase the efficiency of worker and equipment performance, and product quality. 
  • Participates in training new production employees.  Assists with new-hire orientations.
