We are seeking a strategic, dynamic, and enthusiastic Superintendent Pharmacist to oversee the operation of Point of Care dispensing pharmacy in County Dublin.
This is a subsidiary of Uniphar plc. Point of Care pharmacy operates a clinical pharmacy service dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care outside of the traditional hospital setting and in line with the community pharmacy sector.

Responsibilities:
To operate the Pharmacy in accordance with all the legal requirements pertaining to the profession
Development, updating policies and procedures in response to new business acquisitions or changing regulatory frameworks
Follow agreed policies, procedures and safe practices in the workplace.
Dealing with Point of Care patient and Client complaints, both formal and informal
Management of the Pharmacy Practice Assessment System
Clinically review all patient prescriptions for appropriateness and safety.
Scheduling and Demand Planning of pharmacy services and Point of Care outpatient programs
Cold Chain Management and maintenance of GDP
To maintain excellent stock control, including rotation of stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels, using approved suppliers, and maintaining the prescribed inventory control database
Managing the efficient running of the dispensary. Participate in/supervise the operation of the dispensary, and the procurement, storage and supply of pharmaceuticals and other related items
Ensure accurate records relating to the procurement, storage, quality control, dispensing, distribution, and destruction
Act on product defect, recall and caution notifications relating to medicines
To ensure the smooth running of the dispensary, including maintaining computer records and ensure that the paperwork about the various programs
Manage the Point of Care/Uniphar Quality Management System (QMS),
Maintain an appropriate Error Management system within the Pharmacy
To ensure the highest standard of tidiness and dispensary hygiene and full compliance with all Health and Safety requirements
Be accountable for personal professional practice through regular engagement of continuing education and training to maintain a high level of competency in clinical pharmacy
To participate in meetings and conference calls as requested
Requirements:
5 years post-qualification experience as a registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland
Previous Supervising/Managing Pharmacist and management experience is desirable
Strong clinical skills: Hospital or Home-care pharmacy experience is advantageous
Ability to balance the requirements of multiple projects and services within agreed timescales
Proven ability to manage and work with a team
Attention to detail is essential
Good flexibility and commitment to working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
