The Security Communications & Engagement Team is responsible for defining, prioritizing, communicating and operationalizing capabilities that improve overall communications excellence and ROI for Security.
Internal communication is a key driver that enables the Security Organization to influence Salesforce culture, build trust in leadership, align to our V2MOM, increase motivation, and take our team’s performance to the next level. Our vision is for all Salesforce employees to embrace a Trust-first culture and are equipped to understand their role in helping to keep Salesforce secure through timely, targeted, creative, consistent communication. Our team collaborates to deliver exciting, meaningful communication, reflective of the priorities of leaders and employees alike, to build an empowered Security community with shared goals and values.
What you will be doing:
Your days at Salesforce will be spent collaborating with and contributing to your team. You will be assigned real projects and make an impact, all while receiving mentorship from amazing peers on your teams. In essence, your internship will be an opportunity to join us in making work simpler, more pleasant, and more productive for millions of people around the world.
In addition, you will have access to resources and events to help you grow both professionally and personally. You will go through global onboarding, role-specific training, and intern-specific onboarding to ensure you are set up for success. Throughout your internship, you will be part of events including Executive Speaker Series, Volunteer Time Off, Workshops, and Socials. You will also have recruiter check-ins, general guidance and support to make the most of your internship experience. Lastly, you have access to participate in any of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
As a Futureforce intern, you will not only contribute to the meaningful work our teams do, but you will also have the opportunity to interact with senior executives and network with a number of employees across the company. In addition to these impactful opportunities, ensuring you participate in a number of events outside of your day-to-day duties is top of mind for us.
You can expect to:
Drive initiatives for Security including Incident Response, Security Awareness, Security Assurance, Engineering, Product Management, GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance), Threat Intel, Information Management, and others.
Partner with key stakeholders in Security, and across the enterprise, to understand upcoming initiatives and/or changes; develop integrated communications plans, then execute. Includes drafting key messaging, FAQs, talk tracks and other support materials.
Foster employee engagement for the Security Organization through planned activities, communications, and recognition programs.
Create memorable, engaging communications programs to drive awareness of key initiatives and inspire employees to take action.
Learn to utilize Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Slack, Google Suite, Quip and other creative platforms.
Define, track, and analyze internal communications metrics and develop practical tracking and reporting methods to monitor and improve performance.
Required Qualifications:
Strong background in Computer Science, English, Communications, Cyber Security, Engineering Management, or related field
Must be located in North America
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Experienced writer/editor
Ability to adapt to changing priorities while handling high-volume requests
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in Cyber Security
Experience driving communication plans/initiatives
Ability to build programs from start to finish that are replicable in the future
