Exciting Opportunity: Student Process Engineer – Cannabis Processing & CPG
We are looking for a driven and curious Student Process Engineer to join our cannabis manufacturing team for a 4-month internship. This role provides hands-on exposure to the unique challenges and innovations in cannabis product processing, packaging, and compliance within a regulated CPG environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting process optimization across extraction, formulation, manufacturing and packaging of cannabis products (e.g. Packaged flower, vapes, pre-rolls)
  • Assisting in data collection and analysis for yield improvement, throughout enhancement, and waste reduction
  • Participating in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process deviations or equipment issues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Production, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs
  • Contributing to the development and refinement of SOPs, batch records, and process documentation in compliance with Health Canada regulations
  • Supporting validation activities for new equipment, process changes, and product formats
  • Helping monitor critical process parameters and ensuring adherence to Good Production Practices (GPP)
  • Presenting findings and recommendations for engineering and operations leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • Student enrolled in a Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments or interest in cannabis processing is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization or statistical tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and contribute meaningfully
