The department “Pharmaceutical Development" is responsible for the technical development and preparation of sterile dosage forms of biotechnologically and chemically engineered molecules, including AAV-based Gene Therapies, focusing on pre-filled syringes, cartridges and vials for preclinical and clinical studies, and the market supplies.
 
Actively participating for at least 6 months in a pharmaceutical development group focusing on formulation and process development
Contribuing to projects exploring new parenteral formulation approaches to stabilize proteins, oligonucleotides, peptides, viral vectors, and small molecule drugs
Supporting material science studies, including the characterization of primary packaging for biologics
Taking part in drug product process development through experimental optimization, analysis, or in-silico prediction of manufacturing and filling parameters
Working on innovative drug delivery systems such as depot formulations, inhalation, or ocular delivery
Assisting in developing analytical (non-GMP) methods for formulation characterization, including aggregation and particle analysis
Exploring in vitro cell-based assays (bioassays) for gene therapy applications
Independently managing small laboratory projects and supporting complex ongoing ones
Preparing technical documentation, presenting findings internally, and gaining valuable insights into industrial pharmaceutical development practices
 
 
You are currently enrolled at a university in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biotechnology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biology or a related field pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or have completed your studies (passed the 2nd state examination of your pharmacy studies) within the past 12 months prior to the starting date with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
You have a strong interest in problem solving, optimization strategies, and adapt quickly to modern working environments
You bring previous hands-on experience in a laboratory setting
You can work both independently and collaboratively within a team
You are flexible, well organized, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
You are proficient in English (German is an advantage) and confident using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools
