Take photo ID cards for students, faculty, staff, and guest. Verify identification for all ID cards. Verify students are enrolled for current semester before taking student ID cards. Present at New Student Orientation days. Bill students' account for replacement ID cards daily.
Responsibilities:
Take photo ID cards for students, faculty, staff, and guest. Verify identification for all ID cards. Verify students are enrolled for current semester before taking student ID cards. Present at New Student Orientation days. Bill students' account for replacement ID cards daily.
Answer incoming calls, respond to emails including departmental emails daily. Assist students, faculty, staff, and guest entering the office. Contact helpdesk to troubleshoot equipment.
Assist with the support and planning for special events such as Orientation and Admissions events. Coordinate staffing, equipment requirements, physical set-up, and workflows. Ensure ID Cards are produced within timelines and organize ID card distribution.
Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
No prior experience necessary
For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least three (3) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours for the fall/spring terms.
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
