Role Description

As a Strategy and Operations  Business Analyst for GFiber, you will be responsible for business planning and forecasting, You will leverage data sources, conduct analysis, and develop the narratives that influence executive buy-in. In this role, you will manage forecasts and provide key deliverables to the business, while demonstrating a strong understanding of financial reporting and data analysis. Additionally, you will leverage project management skills to manage ad-hoc projects and ensure forecasts reflect the latest trends and business strategies while continuing to maintain flexibility to changing market conditions.


You thrive when dealing with complex problems and ambiguity by using a variety of tools to find answers. You can operate with limited guidance and have strong business partnering skills that you use proactively. You are not afraid to approach new, unique problems, and you are capable of working with large amounts of data with high attention to detail.  You are curious and have an urge to identify not just “what is going on” but “why” - even if it means going deeper and deeper into the data.

 

In this role you’ll:

  • Develop highly detailed forecasts by analyzing historical sales, utilizing industry trends, incorporating business strategy, and anticipating key business needs.
  • Manage forecasts and provide key deliverables to business, including monthly forecasts, annual budget plans, related revisions, and applicable analyses.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and metrics updates to your management and other stakeholders by delivering effective presentations. 
  • Leverage strong project management skills to manage, prioritize, and execute various ad-hoc project requests in support of strategic initiatives, working cross functionally to ensure that forecasts reflect the latest trend lines and business strategies, include the right stakeholders, and are delivered on time.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts, technical ability to access data, organize it and develop meaningful insights. Analytical  skills to include variance analysis, assumption documentation, and communications of forecast drivers and changes.

 

At a minimum, we’d like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 5 years of relevant analytics experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, reporting, visualization, and stakeholder management.
  • Quantitative modeling experience working in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and using BI tools for data visualization and dashboarding.

 

It’s preferred if you:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Business Analytics.
  • Experience navigating tight deadlines that impact the financial and strategic direction of the company as a whole.
  • Ability to translate complex data and analytical findings into clear, concise, and compelling presentations for executive-level audiences and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, most notably BigQuery and Looker

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $105,600 - $154,900 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
