OVERVIEW:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design Innovation and Leadership
Establish and evolve design standards, guidelines, and best practices that ensure consistency and excellence across all of our stores.
Oversee the prototype design process, ensuring prototype process deliverables are met and to the highest quality standards.
Stay at the forefront of retail design trends, materials, and technologies continuously seeking ways to innovate and improve design efficiency and documentation of our stores.
Ideate creative concepts, illustrate ideas, and be a leader who delivers impactful/scalable design solutions
Utilizing 3D models and 2D drawings, present compelling design concepts and prototypes to senior leadership, articulating the vision and rationale behind each creative decision.
Strategic Planning and Execution
Manages the process with internal and external partners to ensure prototype documents are accurate per company standards biannually.
Leads the execution of the House of Sport Prototype in Revit and partners with internal BIM Manager on all development for distribution to partners.
Partners with Architectural Design Team to ensure code compliance and the Prototype Managing Architect (PMA) adheres to brand standards.
Creates, maintains architectural design standards, guidelines and specifications.
Leads partnerships with Purchasing, vendor partners and vendor shop initiatives; Manages shop drawing library.
Develops and manages a library of interior details and prototypical color and material finish boards
Manages and tracks the value engineering process to develop and facilitate prototypical specific cost working with internal and external partners.
Partners with Construction and Procurement on Prototype cost exercises as well as areas for cost savings. Continually finds and presents cost savings ideas as to not negatively impact the environment and the customer experience.
Identify and resolve design challenges proactively, leveraging creative problem-solving skills to overcome constraints.
Team Leadership and Development
Partners with internal stakeholders (ie. Construction, Operations) to ensure that brand standards meet functional and operational needs.
Provide clear design guidance and mentorship to design teams on proper implementation of design standards.
Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages diverse perspectives and innovative thinking.
Inspire and mentor a team of Store Designers, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and design excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Architecture, Interior Design or Space Planning
5-7 years experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Retail design industry/environments experience preferred
Architect or Interior Design License preferred but not required
Advanced User in Revit BIM software
Adobe Creative Suite
Advanced User in AutoCad
Experience in V-Ray and Enscape is a plus
Proficient in Sketchup
Proven ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes
At the project level, drive a clear vision and lead others in the development of concurrent projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present new concepts and designs to small and large groups, including presenting to executive leaders and external partners.
Strong attention to detail
Expert in applying design skills including concepting, ideation, spacial design in scale, and space planning layouts
Strong knowledge of production design, fabrication, materiality, and emerging trends.
Highly collaborative with ability to work within a team and independently

Targeted Pay Range: $83,000.00 - $138,200.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
