Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Stock Clerk 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located at Edwards AFB, CA.
Your duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Provide direction to lower level and non-exempt employees under guidance of the manager.
Manual and clerical duties to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies in a central warehouse.
Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices; stores articles according to identifying factors; fills orders or issues supplies from stock; requisitions stock to fill incoming orders; and prepares stock use reports.
Determines methods or places for storage considering guidelines for temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor loading capacity, and required space.
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.
Contacts are frequent with individuals representing outside organizations, and/or individuals of significant importance within the company.
Follow established processes, procedures, and requirements.
The selected candidate will be required to support a 4/10 – 3/10 working rotation, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as required.
Will work alongside Northrop Grumman and U.S. Government personnel at Edwards AFB, CA. Duties & tasks are usually varied and complex.
Determines best storage practices for the warehouse environment.
Receive material, inspect, and verify for accuracy.
Maintain records and provide traceability of materials.
Data entry, and use of commercial and military logistics supply systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 4 years of additional education and/or experience in a stockroom, warehouse, manufacturing, or related environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead.
Experience with and comfortability using forklifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of related experience.
Prior experience leading a team.
Warehouse Management Software Experience (FMT, SPA, SAP, ALIS, etc.).
Prior stockroom experience.
Prior military experience with logistics.
Experience with creating processes and procedures.
HAZMAT experience with relevant qualifications.
