We are currently seeking a Statistical Programming Technology R Intern for Summer 2026. This full-time position works for approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Project Title
Accelerating R Innovation in Statistical Programming: Building Exploratory Analysis App

 

Scope of Work

Exploratory Analysis App Build
Objective: Build POC for interactive dashboards to automate exploratory clinical data review and analytics

 

Key Tasks:

• Create R Shiny components for summary statistics, trend visualization, and data subsetting.
• Support integration of new visualizations (e.g., volcano plots, boxplots, Kaplan-Meier curves).
• Optimize app performance and interactivity for large clinical datasets.
Deliverables:
• POC for functional exploratory analysis Shiny dashboard with 2–3 analysis modules.
• App documentation and deployment guide.
 

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics.
• Coursework in data visualization or statistical computing.
Skills:
• Strong proficiency in R, especially packages like tidyverse, ggplot2, dplyr, and shiny.
• Understanding of clinical data structures (SDTM/ADaM preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience building interactive dashboards or data visualization apps.
• Knowledge of statistical concepts like summary statistics, distributions, and trend analysis.
• Optional: familiarity with survival analysis (Kaplan-Meier) etc.
Experience:
• Hands-on academic or research project experience using R for data visualization or exploratory analysis.
• Exposure to large datasets or performance optimization in R Shiny is a plus.
• Experience working in a collaborative Git environment preferred.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Interest in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research domain.

Salary Range:

$17.23 - $58.15
