As part of our Integrated Pricing and Billing Crew in Business Banking, we are shaping the future of intelligent pricing and billing services for our customers. We are implementing the next generation of pricing and billing services through a BIAN-compliant offering over a SaaS platform. This will allow the Group to support our internal product houses serving Merchants, Corporate Cards and Payments as well as Institutional Customers with complex business banking products.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive end-to-end design and implementation of APIs, microservices, and full-stack applications

  • Champion a “Build it, Own it, Run it” culture across the software lifecycle

  • Influence architecture and technical standards across multiple teams

  • Embed SRE and DevSecOps practices: observability, CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning

  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes

  • Leverage AI-powered tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate delivery

  • Mentor engineers and uplift development practices not only in the crew but influence across crews.

Tech Skills

  • Proven experience in cloud-native development (preferably AWS) and banking domain systems

  • Strong skills in programming languages like C#, React, TypeScript, and .Net framework

  • Expertise in modern architectural patterns, system design, distributed systems, and secure coding

  • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, DynamoDB, containerisation (Docker), and observability tools

  • AWS certification is highly regarded

  • Leadership capabilities, including: 

    • Driving technical strategy and influencing architectural decisions across teams

    • Coaching and mentoring engineers to grow their technical and leadership skills

    • Building strong stakeholder relationships and communicating complex technical concepts clearly

    • Championing a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
