Job Title: Staff Software Engineer
Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Business & Team: CTO
Impact &contribution: We are the Cloud Modernisation team. We build the platforms that enable the bank to adopt cloud at scale and build applications leveraging cloud native capabilities.
Roles & responsibilities:
• Build Gen AI capability among engineers including but not limited to Knowledge Engineering/prompt engineering/platform engineering.
• Ability to develop, suggest best practices of designing infrastructures that support fine-tuning of models to improve performance and efficiency, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during development or deployment.
• Creating and maintaining documentation: Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of AI / LLM
• Analyse systems and applications and provide recommendations for design, enhancement and development, and play an active part in their execution.
• Excellent understanding of the infrastructure that runs Java applications – Tomcat, Jetty, Web Servers, Containers, etc
• Have experience in CI/CD pipelines with integrated automated testing and governance
• Are passionate about DevOps/Automation and have a powerful desire to solve complex problems in a systematic approach - e.g using Shell scripting
• Constantly think creatively and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems
• Work well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improved initiatives
Essential skills:
• Demonstrate strong experience developing applications using Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.) of 10+ years .
• Should have worked on cloud migration of applications
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs or Graphql APIs and integrating with third-party services
• Experience with Infrastructure as code and automating manual tasks
• Mentoring and coaching capabilities, able to influence practices and mindsets in the crew
• Develop, lead, and deploy CI/CD strategies
• CI/CD tooling such as GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy
• Logging & monitoring: CloudWatch, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana and Prometheus knowledge are desirable
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization in Java applications (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security)
• Experience using API Gateway for service discovery and management
• Experience with AWS serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB)
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
