Role & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Administer Snowflake data platform (databases, schemas, warehouses, roles, integrations). 

 

  • Enforce RBAC/security models, masking policies, and data sharing standards. 

 

  • Manage performance tuning (query optimization, clustering, micro-partitioning). 

 

  • Automate provisioning, monitoring, and incident handling using SQL, APIs, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. 

 

  • Support and optimize Databricks–Snowflake integrations for ETL/ELT and ML workloads. 

 

  • Ensure Databricks and Snowflake interoperability by managing external tables, Iceberg format, and hybrid storage strategies. 

 

  • Monitor and optimize credit usage, storage costs, and warehouse efficiency (FinOps practices). 

 

  • Ensure compliance with Data privacy and governance frameworks 

Qualifications & Experiences: 

 

  • 8+ years in data engineering, database Administration or data platform engineering. 

 

  • 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration in enterprise-scale environments. 

 

  • Strong expertise in Snowflake internals (warehouses, DCR,query optimizer, clustering). 

 

  • Good exposure to Databricks clusters, Delta Lake, and notebooks-based pipelines. 

 

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python/Shell scripting, and automation tools (Terraform, CI/CD). 

 

  • Experience with monitoring, incident management, and platform governance. 

 

 

  • Knowledge of data governance and security compliance frameworks. 

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

 

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments. 

 

  • Proactive, self-driven, and detail-oriented. 

 

 

Not Required but preferred experience:   

  • Snowflake SnowPro Advanced (Architect/Data Engineer) certification. 

 

  • Hands-on with streaming technologies (Kafka). 

 

  • Experience with FinOps dashboards for credit and cost optimization.
