We are seeking an ambitious Staff Digital Verification Engineer to join our team based in Milan which is part of the PSG group (Power Solution Group) of the Industrial BU. The main goal of this team is to support Automotive Power designs, targeted at Display, Lighting and HV Power applications.

The candidate will be self-motivated and will join a team of experienced Digital and Analog designers and Verification engineers and work effectively within a group of designers, Layout Engineers, Test Engineers, and Application Engineers. The candidate will be involved from the definition, through the development till test and customer support of Automotive Power products.

Position Overview:

As ADI expands into new products and market segments, the PSG is looking for a highly skilled Digital IC Verification Engineer who will be responsible for the functional verification of high-performance products.

As a Staff Digital Verification Engineer, you will perform a full range of product development activities including, but not limited to:

  • Interact with product definers and business managers during the preliminary phase of the design to consolidate and fully understand the requirements and the specification of the design.
  • Create and keep updated the Verification Plan.
  • Lead the architecture of the top level testbench based on what is planned on Verification Plan.
  • Write direct test case and randomization to achieve requested functional and code coverage.
  • Write System Verilog assertion based on what planned on Verification Plan.
  • Track bugs found during verification phase and hold verification reviews with product definers and digital designers.
  • Drive improvements in verification flow.

Requirements:

  • MSEE with 5+ years of relevant industry experience as a Digital Verification Engineer.
  • Good written and verbal communication (English).
  • Strong coding and documentation practices.
  • Verilog, SystemVerilog fluency in design, simulation, and verification domains.
  • Object-Oriented Programming and UVM deep knowledge.
  • System Verilog Assertion knowledge.
  • Expertise in scripting and automation with Perl and Python.
  • Knowledge of Real Number Modeling techniques (wreal, EEnet, etc…).
  • Ability to own and drive functional verification phase to completion with minimum supervision using metric driven methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience with custom digital interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
  • Knowledge of most common digital design concepts.
  • Hands on with Formal Verification methodologies.
  • Mixed-signal simulation (Cadence® AMS), interfacing with analog functions considered as a plus.
  • Basics of switching DC-DC converters architecture is a plus.
