We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Staff Electrical Engineer, Power Supply Design based out of Woodland Hills, CA.
What You'll get to Do:
- Responsible for detailed design of Analog circuits and sub-systems, including analog power supply design
- Design tasks include system level requirements analysis, sub-system level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design through design verification and transition to production.
- Analysis tasks include detailed circuit modeling, simulation and analysis, signal integrity analysis, electrical stress analysis, and worst-case circuit analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 14 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 12 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering with 9 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of design/analysis/test experience in electrical engineering specializing in power electronics, switch-mode topologies, magnetic design, and feedback controls
- Proven capability to design, build, and test power electronics designs
- Electrical circuit design experience
- Experience with discrete component power supply design
- Circuit modeling and simulation experience
- Schematic capture experience
- Circuit and sub-system test and troubleshooting experience
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to work onsite in Woodland Hills, CA
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of design/analysis/test experience in electrical engineering specializing in power electronics, switch-mode topologies, magnetic design, and feedback controls
- Radiation hardening of electronic designs
- Design/test for EMI compatibility
- Cadence CAE
- Circuit board design
- Signal integrity analysis
- Worst case circuit analysis
- Electrical stress analysis
- Design verification and test
- Ability to lead and drive troubleshooting to closure, including providing technical solutions to programs
- Collaboration skills across disciplines, including systems engineering, mechanical engineering, thermal/structural analysis, reliability, manufacturing/test, program management
Primary Level Salary Range: $188,200.00 - $282,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
