What You’ll Be Doing
As Senior Risk Analyst, Stress Testing you’ll develop, implement and enhance CIBC’s analysis and reporting capability focused on Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing and the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP). You will also coordinate with internal stakeholders to help determine the overall impacts on CIBC and liaise with regulators and industry associations with respect to stress testing, ICAAP and regulatory changes.

How You’ll Succeed
Analytical - You provide effective and timely delivery of Enterprise-Wide Stress Testing and ICAAP analysis and reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including senior risk executives. You develop, update and maintain our enterprise-wide stress testing methodologies and related documentation including policies and standards, focusing on Credit Risk Stress Testing, IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL), and Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) models.
Innovative - You proactively research regulatory needs and translate observations, emerging risks and best practices into methodology and model enhancements for internal and external (i.e. regulatory) stress testing.
Relationship Building - You maintain a proactive working relationship with your peers, including Treasury, Finance and other Risk Management groups, to develop a detailed reporting and analysis capability including quarterly results, compliance to regulations, and reporting to other internal and external stakeholders.

You have a graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (i.e. Applied Mathematics or Statistics), proficiency with mathematical or statistical analysis software tools (SAS, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills) and 3+ years of experience in the financial services sector. You also have experience in the growing field of stress testing including model development and implementation (credit risk, IFRS 9 ECL, and PPNR), regulatory requirements (MST, DFAST and CCAR), and validation, with advanced communication skills sufficient to convey complex information and concepts into succinct opinions to a senior executive audience.
