The Sr. Marketing Manager, Sport & Partnerships will play a pivotal role in advancing Target’s cultural and commercial leadership through sport and partnerships. This position will lead the strategic evolution of Target’s sports partnership portfolio and support the Fun101 business in bringing culturally connected marketing to life.
This role requires a unique blend of creative and analytical thinking, strong relationship management, and a passion for the power of sport to inspire connection. You will serve as a cross-functional connector between internal marketing teams, business partners, and external rights holders — ensuring Target’s investments deliver both brand and business impact. About you:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience; Marketing emphasis or major preferred
8+ years of related work experience inclusive of delivering business results through Marketing Strategy
Curiosity and drive to deeply understand guest needs, the power of curiosity culture, sport, and the evolving role of brands in fandom and the unique role marketing plays in driving the business with the ability to interpret and synthesize data into a compelling story
Strong marketing, business and media acumen with ability to leverage data to draft a compelling strategy and investment decisioning to drive measurable results
Demonstrated executive relationship management skills with both internal cross-functional teams and external partners.
Tenacity and courage to champion bold ideas, consistently strive to improve the work, learn from results and be the voice of the guest and business
Proven leadership skills and ability to collaboratively engage key stakeholders across the organization at the right times to solve complex problems, while keeping partners informed, engaged and motivated to act
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong partnerships
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing deadlines and competing priorities effectively
Brand, media or agency experience preferred 
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
