About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead a global team of data engineers responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing modern data ingestion and processing pipelines. This leader will play a critical role in integrating a variety of data sources, enabling analytics and AI-driven insights, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our enterprise data platform.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong people leadership across global teams, and a proven ability to operate in a high-growth, fast-paced SaaS environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of data engineers, fostering collaboration across time zones and driving operational excellence.
Architect and oversee large-scale data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Airflow, DBT, Python, Kafka streaming, and Snowflake.
Design and implement real-time and batch ingestion frameworks integrating data from various business systems and APIs.
Partner closely with analytics and BI teams to define, curate, and deliver business metrics, KPIs, and standardized data models.
Manage data integration and transformation from enterprise systems such as Salesforce (SFDC), NetSuite, Workday, and other core business applications.
Collaborate with data science and product teams to support AI assistance bot integration, AI/ML workflows, and product telemetry analytics.
Ensure engineering excellence by aligning data practices with DevOps principles, CI/CD automation, and robust data governance standards.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities, resources, and delivery timelines in a dynamic, high-velocity environment.
Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders to align data engineering initiatives with strategic organizational goals.
What You'll Need:
8+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3+ years in a people management or leadership role.
Demonstrated success leading and managing global, distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Proven expertise with Airflow, DBT, Python, Kafka streaming, and Snowflake.
Deep experience in API-based data ingestion, real-time streaming, and data pipeline orchestration at scale.
Hands-on experience with data integration from SFDC, NetSuite, Workday, and similar business platforms.
Strong background in partnering with analytics and BI teams to curate and deliver business metrics and actionable insights.
Exposure to AI assistance bot integrations, data science workflows, and ML data pipelines.
Understanding of SaaS product telemetry, metadata management, and data governance principles.
Experience applying DevOps and CI/CD practices to data engineering environments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience working for a SaaS security company and building business metrics is preferred
