Job Description:

Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager will lead and oversee complex IT programs encompassing Infrastructure, Applications, and Security. This pivotal role is responsible for the strategic oversight and end-to-end management of enterprise-scale initiatives that align directly with organizational goals and objectives. The Senior Program Manager will navigate a mixed methodology environment, including projects delivered via Agile (Scrum, SAFe), traditional Waterfall, and product team-led efforts, to drive complex program delivery strategy and ensure business alignment at an enterprise level. This role focuses on managing programs with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $30 million.

Key Job Responsibilities

Program Leadership:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT programs encompassing Infrastructure, Applications, and Security.
  •  Align program objectives with the overall business strategy and organizational goals.
  • Direct multiple interconnected projects and manage program-level risks, governance, and performance metrics.
  •  Lead orchestration of delivery using a combination of methodologies, including Agile (Scrum/SAFe), Waterfall, and product team-driven workstreams, ensuring overall integration and cohesion

Stakeholder and Change Management:

  • Engage with and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, to ensure program alignment with business priorities.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
  • Drive enterprise change leadership, ensuring adoption and engagement through formal organizational change management (OCM) strategies for solutions deployed across a distributed organizational footprint, including field locations.
  • Lead change management initiatives at the program level, ensuring the organization is prepared for and adopts changes resulting from Infrastructure, Applications, and Security implementations

Resource and Financial Management:

  • Lead and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize program outcomes, considering the diverse requirements of Infrastructure, Applications, and Security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
  • Manage program budgets ranging from under $500,000 to $30 million, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  •  Provide accurate and timely financial reports to executive leadership.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance:

  • Identify potential risks at the program level and develop comprehensive mitigation plans, taking into account the unique challenges of Infrastructure, Applications, and Security projects.
  • Proactively address issues and obstacles to minimize disruptions across the program.
  •  Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure program and project deliverables are created and meet or exceed established standards
  •  Drive the delivery of program outcomes

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

  • Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in senior program management roles, with a focus on Infrastructure, Applications, and Security programs.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large, complex, cross-functional IT programs with budgets ranging from $500,000 to $30 million.
  • Experience in strategic program planning and alignment with organizational goals
  • Strong experience in budget management and financial reporting for programs.
  • Deep experience with organizational change management, including communication planning, stakeholder engagement, training programs, and impact analysis.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Familiarity with various project and program management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall with experience managing mixed-methodology program
  • Strong track record of deploying programs across geographically dispersed environments, including field-based operations.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  •  Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to influence at all organizational levels..
  • Proficiency in program and project management software such as Smartsheets, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Experience in the collision repair, automotive services, or distributed operations industries strongly preferred

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • SAFe Agilist or Agile certification is required, and PROSCI or equivalent change management certification is preferred

Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.

  • Hybrid role- at least twice a week in the Elmhurst office

Compensation Details:

$160,000 - $175,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
