ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Sr. Field Integration Engineer to join our rapidly growing Core Technology team in Costa Mesa, CA.  In this role, you will manage hardware integration, serving as the primary technical liaison between Anduril host vehicle teams and Core Technology development team. You will provide design guidance, triage issues, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the integration of subassembly hardware into host vehicles across the product lifecycle.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external customers and internal leadership, communicating integration status and needs.
  • Advise on design aspects to facilitate easier integration based on customer use cases.
  • Organize, prioritize, and drive resolution of integration-related issues, including root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Facilitate collaboration between design, manufacturing, electrical, and software teams to tackle integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with technical writers to produce high-quality installation and maintenance manuals.
  • Coordinate and track integration tasks, ensuring timely delivery of hardware and documentation.
  • Willing to travel to test and customer sites as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a hardware-focused engineering role with an emphasis on system integration.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Teamcenter NX) for reviewing designs and managing large assemblies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
  • Ability to execute multiple integration projects in parallel while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with mechanical hardware, avionics, and firmware.
  • Knowledge of system communication protocols such as CAN or Ethernet.
  • Hands-on experience across various phases of a product's lifecycle, from prototype to production.
  • Understanding of vehicle assembly processes and Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar issue-tracking systems.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, PMP) or a quality methodology (e.g., Six Sigma).

 

US Salary Range
$129,000$171,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
