How you’ll make an impact:

The Senior Engineer, Audio Visual – which resides in our Corporate Services organization – is responsible for delivering seamless AV experiences for high-profile meetings and events, both onsite and offsite.

The Senior Engineer will coordinate and support executive-level events, including direct interaction with Board Members, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), ELT administrators, and other key stakeholders.

  • Serve as the technical lead in the design and build of systems
    (e.g., Maximo, LIMS-Lab Info Mgmt System, Network, database, middleware, end user computing, digital tech)
  • Perform complex AV engineering activities including:
    • Technical lead in design and build of AV applications and technologies at new facilities
    • Application administration and operations
    • Implementation of new products, applications and/or service offerings
    • Evaluation and testing/proof of concepts
    • Maintenance and upgrade activities on AV applications and technologies
    • Validation activities (e.g., authoring, reviewing and testing
    • Evaluate and recommend new applications, technologies and service offerings in collaboration with vendor(s)
    • Leads RASP initiatives (reliability, availability, scalability and performance
    • Resolve problems by performing root cause analysis, developing, and lead the implementation of complex corrective and preventative actions
  • Lead technical business requirements gathering sessions through interfacing with members of the business.
  • Author device, network and/or systems diagrams, including configuration parameter
  • Other incidental duties

What you’ll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field with 4 years experience in one of the following three areas, as appropriate for the position: IT Infrastructure Network, IT Infrastructure System, and Enterprise Applications, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria

  • Experience in broadcast environments, multi-camera setups, and live production workflow highly preferred
  • Strong proficiency with professional AV systems and technologies, including:
    • Yamaha PM audio consoles
    • Ross video systems
    • Dante network routing
    • Q-SYS audio and control processing
    • Microsoft Teams Room Systems
    • Crestron control systems
    • Panasonic, Sony, and Grass Valley broadcast cameras
    • Telemetrics PTZ camera operation
    • Christie, Absen, and Planar LED wall systems
  • Comfortable managing complex signal flows, switching live feeds, and ensuring high-quality audio and video delivery under pressure.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to take initiative, including actively seeking out new knowledge for learning and personal growth, and consistently pushing their own technical boundaries to stay ahead in the AV field.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
  • Professional certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, or VCIX/VCDX)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of troubleshooting techniques with ability to adapt and learn new technologies as needed
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience drafting technical documentation
  • Substantial knowledge of IT technologies (e.g. Configuring equipment, network addressing, routing, VoIP, BC/DR, server admin, server and desktop virtualization, storage, email, database management, and application support.)
  • Substantial knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Win Servers, Client, Unix) facilities such as file management, system and application security
  • Substantial documentation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to transform technical solutions into well documented build guides
  • Substantial knowledge of system administration or configuration.
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $113,000 (highly experienced).
