Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Senior Director of Application & Data Integration to lead the enterprise-wide integration strategy, architecture, and execution. This role will oversee the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and governed integration solutions across business-critical applications and data platforms. You will lead a high-performing team of architects and engineers, ensuring seamless data flow, compliance, and platform enablement across the organization.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Strategy & Architecture

  • Own and execute the enterprise integration strategy using MuleSoft and other middleware platforms.
  • Architect modular, scalable, and secure backend systems aligned with enterprise data models and governance standards.
  • Drive modernization of legacy integrations and adoption of event-driven and API-first architectures.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Enforce data governance policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain audit readiness and documentation across all integration points.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to align integration practices with enterprise standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of integration architects, engineers, and QA specialists.
  • Provide strategic direction and technical oversight to managers and senior technical staff.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), IT, Security, and business units to ensure seamless data flow and platform enablement.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to translate integration needs into scalable solutions.

Delivery, Testing & Support

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of integration delivery, including design, development, QA, deployment, and support.
  • Lead integration and regression testing strategies, including automated test suites and structured UAT processes.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of integration services through proactive monitoring and incident management.

Data Enablement & Change Management

  • Ensure business applications produce clean, governed data that supports analytics, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive adoption of integration and architecture changes through structured communication and stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise application integration, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in MuleSoftAPI managementevent-driven architecture, and middleware platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governancedata modeling, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in integration testing.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale integration programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technical initiatives with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Tools & Technologies

  • MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Kafka, Informatica, Boomi, or similar.
  • REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, TOGAF, PMP) are a plus.
