Position Overview
The Sr. Director, Commercial Program Leader is a pivotal executive role within Alight, tasked with designing, launching, and steering strategic commercial programs that accelerate revenue growth, expand market influence, and champion our mission to improve client well-being. This leader collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align commercial initiatives with our organizational values, ensuring the successful execution and management of innovative sales programs tailored to the health and wellness industry across diverse regions and business units.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, implement, and optimize commercial strategies and programs that advance the company’s sales objectives and promote our health and wellness vision.
· Lead cross-functional teams—including sales, marketing, product management, wellness coaching, and operations—to achieve program milestones and deliver impactful results.
· Analyze market trends, emerging wellness needs, and competitor activity to shape program development and differentiation.
· Define and monitor performance metrics to evaluate program success and drive ongoing improvement in commercial outcomes.
· Ensure smooth program launches by fostering effective communication, providing training, and engaging stakeholders throughout the sales organization.
· Oversee budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to guarantee programs are delivered efficiently and meet stakeholder expectations.
· Serve as the primary liaison for executive leadership regarding commercial program strategy, performance, and industry impact.
· Champion transformative change management and nurture a culture focused on health, wellness, and high performance within the sales team.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, commercial operations, or program leadership, with significant exposure to the health and wellness sector.
· Demonstrated success in leading large-scale commercial or sales initiatives, preferably within a health and wellness environment.
· Outstanding leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
· Advanced analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
· Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional groups.
· Proficiency with program management methodologies, sales enablement platforms, and health industry best practices.

Reporting Structure
This position report to the Chief Commercial Officer, and may be a direct manager of a team of program managers and cross-functional project teams.
Location & Travel
Based in our Chicago office and virtual, with up to 25% travel required for regional and global health and wellness program oversight.
Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.

Salary Pay Range
Minimum :
185,000.00 USDMaximum :
