  • Write compelling, high-quality communications that equip senior executives to deliver key messages—across speeches, presentations, video or call scripts, op-eds, talking points, social posts, and internal or external remarks.

  • Translate strategic direction from partners into clear, consistent, and leader-ready materials that align with Target’s enterprise narratives and communication goals.

  • Apply deep business and audience understanding to create content that connects Target’s purpose and priorities to what matters most for team members, guests, and communities.

  • Collaborate across Corporate Affairs roundtables to ensure executive communications align with broader storytelling plans and help meet the goal of advancing a specific narrative.

  • Partner with enterprise teams, including subject-matter experts, executive leaders, chiefs of staff and human resources.

  • Contribute ideas and creative approaches that push storytelling forward, helping the team continuously innovate around how we tell stories and use executive voices, and demonstrate a willingness to continue to learn and apply technology like GenAI to your work.

  • Flex across multiple leaders and business areas to support key communications periods and enterprise moments, managing volume and complexity with agility and precision.

  • Model excellence in writing craft and collaboration, mentoring others informally and contributing to a culture that values inclusivity, creativity, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience translating complex strategies into simple, resonant communications for varied audiences

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio that demonstrates versatility and impact

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, incorporate feedback gracefully, and deliver under tight timelines
