Position Summary:

The Commercial Administrative Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying, documenting, and preparing corrective action plan for any risk exposure that could materialized on the normal course of business of the Commercial Area. In addition, promote collaboration with all areas of the bank and all projects. Spearhead effort to  provide efficient and prompt solutions to bankers, assistants and clients. Serve as a bridge between the commercial area and all the other areas in the bank. This position reports to the Commercial Administrative Officer and supports a group of functions that could vary from operational, compliance and suitability risk, including client onboarding. In alignment with the Commercial Administrative Officer and in coordination with other managers, helps develop ongoing service monitoring tools to ensure excellent levels of input and output by the Commercial Area. Assist with Commercial first line of defense responsibilities to ensure the Commercial Area knows, manages and mitigates the inherent risks of the business.

Position Duties / Responsibilities:

• Develop and establish procedures for the First Line focusing on the development and execution of effective risk mitigation strategies across the Commercial Area, including the development of a comprehensive Risk Identification
• Assessment process (RCSA), establishment of Key Reporting Indicators and Metrics, and appropriate vendor management routines
• Assist CAO with the collaboration of Commercial Director and BCOs on the preparation and implementation of risk mitigating tools within the Commercial Area
• Contribute to satisfactory results in audit reviews, BCO and compliance reviews, and regulatory examinations (internal/external)
• Contribute as Commercial Area lead role in the ongoing local support, troubleshooting and/or implementation of enhancements to the new onboarding tool (APPIAN)
• Manages all business open issues and closely oversee their remediation to facilitate timely and sustainable closure, in line with consolidated first line of defense issue management process

• Support bankers with risk sensitive activities (i.e. Complaint Management, Private Equity process ensuring adequate and timely responses are given to customers and also ensuring metrics are maintained and analyzed in order to identify possible areas of exposure for the Bank
• Support bankers with the execution of risk sensitive activities (i.e. Complaint Management, Private Equity Orders, etc.) to ensure adherence to established reporting requirements and risk mitigation guidelines
• Support effort to ensure appropriate structures, disciplines and routines are in place for the execution of Santander’s Risk Framework within the area, to ensure control improvements to reduce levels of risk and loss
• Monitors activities to identify if effective controls are in place (SOX, non-financial, policies & procedures, compliance, regulatory safety and soundness) and recognize/escalate gaps in the control infrastructure to the Commercial Administrative Officer, to develop and execute remediation plans
• Escalation, reporting and communication of key operational risk exposures to Commercial Administrative Officer
• Monitors the day-to-day 1Lod risk control activities and provides corrective action recommendations to Commercial Administrative Officer

Projects
• Ensures delivery of committed project plans for Commercial Area, including those under regulatory change programs
• Spearhead the inception, planning and implementation of Commercial Area projects as assigned by CAO or Commercial Director
• Distribute Business/Project communications and prepare/update Project documentation

Other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Minimum:

$52,500.00 USD

Maximum:

$87,500.00 USD
