About the Team

Are you passionate about using data to drive key business decisions? We are a group of data analysts who work cross-functionally with multiple business partners, and support each other as we problem solve the data needs within Workday’s Core Applications (HR, Fin, PSA). As a Sr. Associate Data Analyst, you will work with some of the most innovative and intelligent business system analysts with a vast knowledge of the tools within Workday so that you can make the experience in Workday the best it can be.

About the Role

Workday is looking for a Sr. Associate Data Analyst, focused on reporting, with a passion for continuous learning, aiding business partners, report design and data analysis. This role will work first hand with our Finance and Accounting organizations to improve their processes with Automation and Data Science to achieve their goal of a Zero Day Close. The ideal candidate brings a detailed understanding of data modeling, reporting frameworks and has the ability to drive processes improvement strategies, and solution with the extensibility of Workday’s reporting tools. Good communication skills (written and verbal) and an ability to partner with our business counterparts to help influence reporting are a must.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal partners to: identify, define, and clarify business requirements; translating needs into efficient reports and configurations that conform to standard methodologies and provide data driven insights.
- Use datasets across Workday and other applications to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, behaviors, and metrics
- Build organization-wide relationships to move initiatives forward and position ideas to improve the likelihood of success.
- Develop technical expertise in various Workday technologies, including but not limited to, the reporting and analytics framework and security framework.
- Demonstrate business knowledge and expertise to uncover process gaps and work multi-functionally to formulate plans to improve support models.
- Participate in the organizational change and launch support processes.
- Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain specialists and end-user representatives.
- Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met. - Work closely with the project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff.
- Contribute to documentation, QA, and organization of our analytics tooling.

About You

Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience in a data analyst role
0 1+ years working within a Financial system

Other Qualifications:
- Grasp of relational data concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Familiarity with Workday FIN, Workday reporting, and/or Workday Prism, a plus
- Experienced in SQL and proficient in Python or R
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrable understanding of business requirements capturing (e.g., identifying and mapping business needs to application capabilities).
- Ability to communicate data into significant items for various audiences, including but not limited to, functional end-users and executive partners.
- Enjoy communicating and collaborating, and establishing positive relationships with all levels of an organization
- Ability to identify process gaps and provide improvements
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working in an agile environment


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $92,300 USD - $138,200 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $77,900 USD - $138,200 USD
