Job Description:
Senior Data Engineer:
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for driving the solution design and delivery of self-service BI and analytics by implementing modern data solutions on the Azure Databricks platform. The role focuses on building efficient, scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines, robust data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration processes, and enforcing data quality controls using Databricks and DBT as the core technologies—leveraging the broader Azure data ecosystem to deliver curated, analytics-ready datasets.
Mandatory Requirements:
1. 5+ years of experience in Big Data technologies with strong proficiency in Azure Databricks, PySpark/SQL, and DBT for end-to-end data pipeline design and transformation.
2. Hands-on expertise in Azure Data Engineering services including ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD automation.
3. Demonstrated ability to build and optimize scalable ELT/ETL workflows leveraging Databricks and DBT for data modeling, transformations, and orchestration across diverse data sources.
4. Proven experience in implementing data quality, lineage, and governance using Unity Catalog. Strong background in data architecture including star/snowflake schema design, data partitioning, and performance optimization in Databricks.
5. Proficiency in integrating and curating data from structured and unstructured sources, ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
2. Good communication & Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and partner teams.
3. Must be a quick learner & Self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
