As a Senior Advisor, you will be at the forefront of our philanthropic efforts, responsible for cultivating relationships, soliciting major gifts, and stewarding complex donations. Your strategic approach will help us achieve our revenue goals and make a real difference in the lives of children battling life-threatening diseases.
Build Meaningful Relationships
Utilize your fundraising expertise and interpersonal skills to establish genuine connections with donors, their families, and advisors from diverse backgrounds. Focus on soliciting significant gifts at the Major Gift level of $25,000+, with an emphasis on gifts of $100,000+.
Manage a Dynamic Portfolio
Oversee a portfolio of at least 150 key individual donors. Conduct personal visits and maintain critical contacts with potential donors, with a specific emphasis on engaging multicultural high-wealth donors within your assigned area and territory.
Leverage Technology
Use donor management software to capture essential details that inform donor strategies. Maintain meticulous records of donor interactions, complete reports, and ensure efficient trip planning to maximize engagement.
Strategic Planning
Analyze your donor portfolio to optimize trip planning and time management, aiming to exceed donor contact and solicitation goals set by the organization.
Financial Responsibility
Exercise discretion and fiduciary responsibility when handling cash, checks, and in-kind donations, adhering to ALSAC policies and procedures.
Stay Informed
Stay updated on tax laws affecting charitable giving, personal assets, and estates. Maintain knowledge of culturally relevant funding opportunities to effectively collaborate with donors from diverse backgrounds.
Follow-up and Gift Planning
Provide ongoing support to prospects and donors, guiding them through the gift planning process. Prepare and present gift proposals and contracts.
Continuous Learning
Attend in-person and virtual meetings, including some evenings and working meals, to foster professional growth. Be willing to travel outside your assigned territory to support colleagues and the National Executive Office.
Collaboration
Maintain open communication with territory leadership, the National Executive Office, and support team members. Collaborate across ALSAC divisions to enhance the donor experience, including making presentations to community groups, attending events, and maintaining a team-first mentality.
Effective Communication
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a goal-oriented mindset. Represent ALSAC/St. Jude with professionalism, maturity, and pride.
