Sr. Ad Operation Specialist (Chinese/English/Japanese)

Responsibilities:

This role will play a critical role in operating marketing campaigns to drive performance and revenue growth.
This position demands a detail-oriented individual capable of handling diverse projects, creating data-driven performance reports, and providing actionable insights to clients through our Account management team. The role involves close collaboration with Account Managers, Creative Strategists, and Data Optimization teams to strengthen relationships with global clients advertising on Yahoo! JAPAN, LINE, and other media platforms.

Campaign & Ad Operations:

  • Oversee campaign setup, bulk uploads, and quality assurance tasks.

  • Analyze performance data using tools like Koi, pivot table, graphs, and functions in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot table, graph, sum/if functions,.etc).

  • Manage task and project timelines, and conduct quality reviews across the AOS team.

  • Train new AOS team members on using LY Ad management tools and campaign editors through demonstrations and sessions.

  • Provide backup support for AOS team members during their absence.

  • Assist in media planning, simulations, and data collection in collaboration with team members (Inbound AM/CS/OS/DO).

  • Support keyword expansion, creative development (Title/Description ad copy creation and display banner/video creatives development with creative partners), and ad copy proposals.

  • Contribute to the preparation of materials for MBR/QBR/YBR and regular client meetings.

Translation Projects:

  • Lead translation projects of sales decks, benchmarks, and case studies.

  • Facilitate translations using the in-house Dragonfly service (e.g., Translate Japanese decks into English or Chinese).

  • Review translated English materials by other AOS members and provide feedback to ensure accuracy and quality.

Booking, Payments, & Invoicing:

  • Manage booking/IO, payment, invoice, GCB related tasks, ensuring seamless internal communication.

  • Resolve outstanding booking and billing issues by guiding team members as needed.

Client Support & Communication:

  • Manage onboarding processes for Yahoo! JAPAN, LINE Ads, and other media in collaboration with New Business and Inbound teams. Communicate with clients (English or Japanese via email) and LY Partners for a smooth onboarding process.

  • Oversee setup processes and address campaign setting issues promptly.

  • Provide customer support to small and out-of-tier clients via support forms and email (in English and Japanese).

  • Foster client satisfaction and trust through precise campaign setups and proactive communication.

Onboarding process by collaborating with our Global Client Partnership team 

  • Launch LINE Ad and Yahoo! JAPAN Ad for our new clients 

  • We will standardize and streamline the onboarding process.

  • By communicating closely with LY and clients, we will support smooth account opening and early start of ad delivery.

General & Administrative Support:

  • Act as a backup for team members during absences

  • Assist with administrative & general tasks as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in operating marketing campaigns through performance and data analysis.

  • Strong communication skills in Japanese, English and Mandarin Chinese (both read/write / verbal). Native fluency in Mandarin Chinese.

  • Client support and client facing experiences 

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Proficiency with ad management tools, campaign editors, and data analysis tools.

  • Technical proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and LY Ad management tools.
